Summary: The parameters of thermoregulation of similar in size and color individuals of the common adder living in the Perm region and the Republic of Karelia are considered. Statistically justified “thermophysiological” pararmeters are proposed as characteristics for comparison – “average optimal temperature”, ‘average basking temperature” and ‘typical maximum temperature” of the body. According to the studied parameters, there were no significant differences between individuals from different regions. Some individuals have significant differences in typical maximum temperature, which are not related to the size or color of the animals.
